David Koch’s second goal of the game came in overtime as the Edmonton Oil Kings came back to beat the Saskatoon Blades 3-2 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League (WHL) action.
Anatolii Elizarov sparked the comeback for the Oil Kings (15-15-3) as Patrick Dea made 15 saves for the win.
Josh Paterson and Chase Wouters built up a 2-0 lead for Saskatoon (13-18-3) midway through the first. Logan Flodell kicked out 43-of-46 shots in defeat.
The Blades head to Brandon where they will take on the Wheat Kings on Friday.

In other WHL action involving Saskatchewan teams, Cole Johnson had a goal and an assist and Travis Child made 21 saves as the Swift Current Broncos beat Kootenay Ice 5-2 to snap a three-game skid.
Conner Chaulk, Ryan Graham, Aleksi Heponiemi and Tyler Steenbergen also scored for the Broncos (16-10-7).
Vince Loschiavo and Matt Alfaro responded for the Ice (6-20-8), who have dropped four in a row. Payton Lee stopped 38-of-43 shots in defeat.
In Moose Jaw, Jayden Halbgewachs scored once and set up two more as the Warriors toppled the Prince Albert Raiders 4-1.
Noah Gregor, Tanner Jeannot and Josh Brook also scored for Moose Jaw (19-7-5), which got a 29-save outing from Zach Sawchenko.
Austin Glover spoiled Sawchenko’s shutout bid at 17:37 of the third as Ian Scott turned away 42-of-46 shots for the Raiders (7-24-2).
