Dramatic dash cam video shows the moment a Texas police officer was hit by an alleged drunk driver while conducting a sobriety test.

El Paso police officer Andy Rodriguez was responding to a call of a car crash around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 9, where he was conducting a sobriety test on one of the drivers involved in the incident.

Rodriguez and the driver were seen on dash cam footage running towards the shoulder of the road as car headlights are seen shining in their direction.

According to CBS affiliate, KDBC News, the suspect had driven her vehicle into one of the patrol cars, which then struck the officer.

Before Rodriguez was hit, however, he was also seen pushing the suspect he had been testing out of the way.

The video shows the officer flying in the air before hitting the ground.

He only received minor injuries.

A 23-year-old woman has been charged with driving under the influence.
