An 81-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle in the City of Côte Saint-Luc Saturday morning.
Montreal police said the collision happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Côte-Saint-Luc Road near MacMahon Avenue.
The driver, a 71-year-old man, was heading west on Côte-Saint-Luc Road when he struck the pedestrian, who police said was jaywalking.
“He was crossing away from the intersection,” Montreal police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was declared dead.
Both the driver of the vehicle and a 70-year-old female passenger were also transported to hospital where they were treated for shock.
Collision experts were at the scene gathering evidence.
