Police are appealing for witnesses after a 46-year-old man was shot and killed in Toronto’s east end Wednesday evening.
Toronto police said they responded to reports of a gunshot around 9:52 p.m. at 393 Donlands Avenue just south of O’Connor Drive.
Det. Sgt. Mike Patterson said officers located a man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police identified the man as Ardian Kaloshi of Woodbridge, Ont.
Patterson said the victim was found at an unmarked commercial building believed to be a social club of some kind.
“Mr. Kaloshi was shot in the vestibule outside of the social club,” Patterson said.
Police said he was known to police and had frequented the area before.

Global News has learned Kaloshi was convicted for drinking and driving in May 2004.
He was also charged with assault and failing to comply with bail conditions in 2004 in which the charges were later dropped.
He was charged again in 2010 after he was found in a gaming or betting house and that charge was withdrawn in 2011.
No suspect information was released and police are asking for members of the public or businesses to come forward with video.

“I would like to make an appeal to those individuals who were inside 393 Donlands Avenue and fled the premise prior to the arrival of police,” Patterson told reporters.
“I need you to come forward and I need you to come contact us.”
