Grey Cup festivities continue Tuesday with pep rally

TORONTO – Grey Cup fever continues to spread throughout Toronto to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the CFL championship, including an Argos pep rally at Yonge-Dundas Square Tuesday night.

The entire Toronto Argonauts team welcomed fans at Yonge-Dundas Square at 6 p.m., to celebrate their East Division win and sign autographs.

The team’s band, the Argonotes, and St. Michael’s College Drumline paraded through the square, with the help of the Argos cheerleaders.

A plaque at the University of Toronto’s Varsity Centre was also unveiled Tuesday, celebrating the historical significance of the Grey Cup.

Tuesday was also recognized as Bullying Prevention Day at Yonge-Dundas Square, as part of the city’s Bullying Awareness Week and featured a free talk from internationally recognized writer and speaker Barbara Coloroso at Ryerson University.

Families and football fans alike can enjoy the 100th Grey Cup Festival’s daily activities, such the Adrenaline Zone at Nathan Philips Square and the Nissan Family Zone at Yonge-Dundas Sqaure.
