Cocaine seized in Saskatoon drug bust

Two men have been charged following a drug bust in Saskatoon.

The bust happened on Monday following a drug trafficking investigation by members of the Saskatchewan RCMP integrated organized crime unit.

Officers searched a home in the 3700-block of Fairlight Drive where they said they seized an undisclosed amount of cocaine and cash.

Police said they also seized property as proceeds of crime.

Thien Van Nguyen, 47, is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Nguyen appeared Tuesday in Saskatoon provincial court and has been released from custody pending his next appearance on Dec. 15.

Peter Wilchynski, 53, is charged with possession of cocaine.

Wilchynski has been released from custody and will make his first appearance in Saskatoon provincial court on Jan. 9, 2017.
