Boil water advisory in place for Saint-Hubert

The City of Longueuil issued a boil water advisory Tuesday for the borough of Saint-Hubert.

The presence of coli-form bacteria were found in a water sample.

Longueuil recommends residents of the area boil their water for at least one minute before drinking.

Water can be used straight from the tap for washing dishes (dry thoroughly), doing laundry, showering and bathing.

Officials recommend using a facecloth when washing young children and infants to prevent them from swallowing the water and to make sure they don’t put wet objects into their mouths.

The advisory is expected to be in place until Thursday.
