The Sikh Gurudwara Sahib Quebec Temple in Point St. Charles is donating money to Sun Youth, on the 574th birthday of their prophet Guru Nanak Dev-Ji, for the 29th consecutive year.

This year they’ve donated $3,500 to the non-government organization, they’ve also donated $2,000 to Pointe St. Charles’ organization Share the Warmth.

Sun Youth spokesperson, Joseph Munro, said the money this year will go towards the food bank used by families in need during the holiday season and year round.

“It’s a great honour, this is one of our proud partners,” Munro said.
