According to the City of Saskatoon website, a power outage in the Riversdale and Caswell Hill neighbourhoods was caused by a vehicle accident that damaged power lines.
As of 1:50 p.m., power had been restored to all customers.
Police say the “highly intoxicated” driver was cleared by MD Ambulance personnel at the scene and then taken to SPS headquarters for a breathalyzer.
The 47-year-old man is facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
