A whale was spotted on Friday in the Hudson River north of Manhattan, swimming near the city’s George Washington Bridge.

On Thursday, a whale was seen swimming near the Statue of Liberty and the Holland Tunnel near the Manhattan shoreline.

According to the NBC affiliate in New York, it is not clear whether the two sightings were of the same whale, and the type of whale has not been determined.

New York media reported the U.S. Coast Guard is warning boaters to exercise caution in waterways where the animal has been seen.
