Winnipeg runner Victoria Tachinski commits to Penn State

WINNIPEG – Victoria Tachinski, the owner of five Canadian athletics record, is taking her talents south of the border.

The Winnipeg runner announced her commitment to Penn State University on Monday. The NCAA Division I school is a 10-time Big Ten Conference champion in track and field.

Tachinski helped Canada win bronze in the women’s 4x400m relay at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships in Poland this past summer. The country’s time of 3:32.25 set a new national junior record.
