The BC Liberals named former Global BC anchor Steve Darling as their candidate for the riding of Burnaby-Lougheed in next year’s provincial election.

The seat is held by the NDP MLA Jane Shin, who is not seeking re-election. In 2013, Shin beat Liberal candidate Ken Kramer by fewer than 750 votes.
