Michael Moore reveals second set of steps to his post-election ‘plan’

WATCH: One of filmmaker Michael Moore's next steps includes preparing to impeach Donald Trump – Nov 10, 2016

One day after releasing five steps for Democrats to cope with a Donald Trump presidency, controversial filmmaker Michael Moore has released a second set of recommendations on Facebook. The way they’re written, it sounds like he’s going to reveal new steps every day, at least in these tumultuous times following Tuesday’s U.S. presidential election.

Moore posted his first series of recommendations for Democrats on Wednesday, which say, among other things, that Hillary Clinton actually won the popular vote, meaning that the majority of Americans agree more with her platform than Trump’s. He also forcibly tells people to stop saying they’re “stunned” and “shocked” — that “Trump’s victory is no surprise.”

Moore is adamant that the Democratic Party needs a reformation if it’s going to succeed in modern politics.

Indeed, his second set of steps, titled “Day Two’s To-Do List,” echoes that same sentiment.

Moore calls for the formation of a new “opposition movement,” comprised of protesting bodies like Black Lives Matter and Occupy initiatives, which can band together to defy any potential Trump-led misogynist or racist action.

The second item on Thursday’s list, most likely to produce the most backlash, tells Democrats to prepare to impeach Trump; it should be noted that many Democrats are already calling for the impeachment of Trump when he officially gets into office on January 20, 2017. (Moore jokingly calls Clinton “President Hillary” here.)

The Bowling for Columbine filmmaker goes on to address the Supreme Court issue, saying that all citizens must block Trump from appointing anybody who opposes basic rights for “women, immigrants and the poor.”

He then stands up for one-time Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, who he claims was a target of “ageism and anti-Semitism,” and demands the Democratic National Committee apologize to him.

“We all know now had Bernie been given a fair shot, he probably would have been the nominee and he — as the true outsider and “change” candidate — would have inspired and fired up the base and soundly defeated Donald Trump,” writes Moore. “If no apology is soon forthcoming from the DNC, that’s ok [sic]— when we take over the Democratic Party (see yesterday’s To-Do List, #1), we will issue the apology in person.”

Moore also demands a special investigation into FBI Director James Comey, whose last-minute announcement that the organization was reexamining Clinton’s emails impacted the trajectory of the 2016 U.S. presidential election. While he’s at it, Moore calls for an outright overhaul of the entire American electoral system in four steps:

“1. Eliminate the Electoral College — popular vote only. 2. Paper ballots only — no electronic voting. 3. Election Day must be made a holiday for all — or held on a weekend so more people vote. 4. All citizens, regardless of any run-ins with the criminal ‘justice’ system, must have the right to vote. (In swing states like Florida and Virginia, 30-40 per cent of all Black men are prohibited by law from voting.)”

Lastly, Moore demands President Obama readdress the poisoned-water situation in Flint, Michigan, saying that the water is still undrinkable and unusable. It has been many months since the U.S. government first started dealing with the water in Flint.

Moore signs the Facebook letter with “Will try to get these done by sundown. More To-Do tomorrow…”

Moore’s belief is that Middle America, made up of farmers and blue-collar workers, were fed up with the economic suffering of the last eight years. The four so-called “Rust Belt” states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin all went to Trump, and along with them, enough electoral votes to cruise to victory over Clinton.

In mid-October, Moore made an anti-Trump documentary titled Michael Moore in Trumpland that came as a surprise to everyone, including fans of the 62-year-old filmmaker. The film is based on a one-man show, October Surprise, that Moore recently performed in Ohio and depicts Moore “diving right into hostile territory,” according to a brief description. Essentially, Moore meets and talks to Trump supporters for much of the movie.

What was most surprising about Trumpland is Moore’s conclusion: that Trump would win the election over Clinton, and it would be the “biggest ‘F**k you!’ ever recorded in human history.”

This wasn’t the first time Moore predicted a Trump victory; the first time he did was in late 2015, when he said “people are feeling more and more that we’ve moved back into a darker time.”
