Two men were arrested at the scene but police say they’ve been released without charges.

“Investigators do not believe the public is at risk, as this was not believed to be a random attack as the victim knew his attackers,” said RCMP spokesman Jesse O’Donaghey.

He said there may be more suspects but doesn’t elaborate.

The victim continues to recover from his injuries. They’re considered to be non life-threatening.
