WATCH ABOVE: The Calgary Police Commission holds its meeting Tuesday. On the agenda the hot topic of police body cameras. The Calgary force was set to become the first major force in Canada to wear them but that's been put on hold for technical reasons. Global’s Tracy Nagai reports – Oct 25, 2016

Calgary police will be discussing integrity in policing and body-worn cameras at a public police commision meeting on Tuesday.

Calgary police Chief Roger Chaffin will be providing updates on the subjects during his monthly report.

The discussion on integrity in policing comes amid claims of inappropriate workplace behaviour within the Calgary Police Service (CPS). A workplace review report from November 2013 commissioned by former police chief Rick Hanson uncovered over 60 complaints from CPS employees claiming they were subject to bullying, sexual harassment and intimidation.

The Calgary Police Association said workplace harassment is a serious issue, but not widespread within the CPS.

“I deal with these situations and they do occur and we assist our members through them, but I wouldn’t say that this is a widespread problem,” CPA president Howard Burns said. “But it is a serious problem that the service does need to address.”
