Focus Montreal introduces Montrealers to people who are shaping our community and bringing their stories into focus.
It airs on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 7:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and at midnight.
Take a look at who we’re meeting this week on Focus Montreal:

The Habs are having a pretty good start to their season. Carey Price is back in net but still, some fans are stuck in last year.
P.K. Subban’s biggest fan lamented the trade of the star defenceman in an expensive newspaper ad and then this week he backed that up with a massive donation to the Montreal Children’s Hospital this week.
WATCH BELOW: Dr. C.K., the Montreal Canadiens super fan who paid big bucks to vent about the P.K. Subban trade, is donating $250,000 to the star defenceman’s charity at the Montreal Children’s Hospital
Dr. Charles Kowalski, also known as Dr. C.K., joins senior anchor Jamie Orchard to talk about hockey and giving back to the community.

Urban planning; there’s an app for that?
It has been nothing short of a nightmare season for construction in Montreal with major projects underway.
Getting stuck in traffic has become a daily rite of passage leaving many Montrealers wondering if there isn’t a better way of planning for this stuff.
Well , there’s an app for that now.
The city launched MTL Trajet on Monday. It’s an app designed to log the commutes of Montrealers in real time to help the city plan its urban transportation network more efficiently.
The app is available as a free download and asks Montrealers to track at least 25 trips by either car, bus, train or metro over the next month.
The app was developed by Concordia’s transportation research for integrated planning lab at the city’s request.
Concordia University geography, urban planning and environment professor, Zachary Patterson is one of the developers working on MTL Trajet.
Patterson dropped by Focus Montreal to discuss how the app is helping the city of Montreal plan its traffic flow better.
#GreatMTLer: Kim Reid
This week’s Great Montrealer has discovered that feeding those in need is his calling.
Kim Reid has been running On Rock Community Services for 20 years now.
He’s grown the food bank in Pierrefonds into a community café, a lunch program and an essential service to fulfill a need in an area where you’d least expect it.
Jamie Orchard introduces you to Kim Reid.
If you want to nominate a Great Montrealer, just log onto the Global Montreal website and fill in the entry form. Some of the entries will be profiled in the weeks and months ahead.
