Saskatoon Correctional Centre escapee arrested in B.C.: police

UPDATE: Two men charged with aiding Saskatoon Correctional Centre inmate escape

The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said an escaped inmate is back in custody.

On Saturday, SPS confirmed that Travis Funk, 34, was arrested in British Columbia after evading police for almost a month.

Investigators determined Funk scaled the fences at Saskatoon Correction Centre and got into a waiting vehicle on Sept. 24.

Lauryn Carter, 24, is alleged to have been a party to Funk’s escape. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

According to Saskatoon Crime Stoppers, both were arrested in B.C.
