RCMP trying to identify man believed to be involved in Exshaw home invasion

RCMP released a sketch of a man believed to be involved in a home invasion and robbery that took place on Oct. 20 near Canmore.

Police say a man knocked on the door of a residence in Exshaw at 10:45 a.m. The homeowner answered the door and the suspect forced his way inside, with an edged weapon.

The suspect then robbed the victim of personal property and fled in a Dark Grey Toyota Rav4 he stole from the home.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal Man, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with an average build, short dark black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a black oversized hoodie with white markings, baggy blue jeans and black running shoes.

Police continue to search for the suspect and are asking anyone that might recognize the manor have information regarding the incident, to contact RCMP.

The stolen Toyota Rav4 was later located in a rural area North of the Morley townsite by Cochrane RCMP.

RCMP continue to investigate.
