RCMP investigate home invasion and robbery in Exshaw, Alta.

Canmore RCMP are investigating after a homeowner in Exshaw, Alta. was robbed at knifepoint Thursday morning.

Investigators said the victim answered the door at around 10:45 a.m. and an unknown man forced his way inside, holding an edged weapon.

The victim was allegedly robbed before the suspect took off in a dark grey Toyota Rav4, which was also stolen from the home.

The homeowner wasn’t hurt.

Cochrane RCMP were able to track down the stolen vehicle in a rural area north of the Morley townsite but the suspect hasn’t been found.

He is described as about 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with an average build, short black hair and brown eyes. He was clean shaven at the time, wearing a black oversized hoodie with white markings, baggy blue jeans and black running shoes.

The investigation is ongoing. Calgary RCMP Forensic Identification Section is assisting.
