WINNIPEG — For 12 years now a local group continues to head to the streets to cloth and feed Winnipeg’s homeless.
Yearly just as the winter cold starts to make its first appearances, Ron and Marsha Eldridge head to the streets to feed and cloth some of the homeless living in Winnipeg.
But, Ron Eldridge, Director of Devoted to You Street Ministries, said once or twice weekly his group also tries to head to the streets to hand out food and back packs.

For 12 years now though Eldridge, once homeless himself, said there’s no way he could abandon the cities homeless population.
Saturday, they were treated to lunch, coffee, hot chocolate, baked goods and warm clothing to get them through the winter conditions.
Eldridge said he does this all purely for the satisfaction, a handshake, and a hug.
“Seeing the smiles on their faces make it all worthwhile for us,” said Eldridge.
He intends to continue this annual event each year.
