Car crashes into Brandon building, driver suspended

Owners of a building in Brandon will have a big mess to clean up, after a driver rammed their vehicle into the structure early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. on the 1600 block of Stickney Ave. Police arrive to find a Ford Focus had hit the building, with nearly half of the car wedged inside.

A 26-year-old Brandon man was found inside the car and was taken to police headquarters to for breath samples. It was determined that the driver was intoxicated and has had his licence suspended for 72 hours.

No one was injured in the incident and Brandon Police have yet to announce formal charges against the driver.
