RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a Starbucks drive-thru in Airdrie, Alta.

Officers were called to the Stonegate Drive N.W. location at around 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10 after an employee called 911.

Investigators said a masked man drove up to the drive-thru window, flashed a firearm to the employee and demanded cash.

“The employee cooperated with the suspect’s demands and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash money,” RCMP said in a Thursday news release.
