A Red Deer man is facing 17 charges and a Lacombe woman is facing 13 charges after RCMP searched an alleged chop chop on Sept. 20.
The Priority Crimes Task Force recovered more than $400,000 worth of property at a site in Lacombe County.

Since March 23, RCMP have been investigating the property and, since that time, have recovered:

- riding lawnmower
- custom-made welding unit
RCMP said many of the vehicles had their VINs removed or altered and some were in various stages of disassembly.
Mounties also seized firearms, ammunition, weapons, crack cocaine, meth, unidentified pills, drug paraphernalia, stolen tools and more than $10,000 in cash.

Taylor Kirk Curl, 28, is facing 17 criminal charges, including possession of stolen property, failing to comply with conditions and a drug charge. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27.
Brandy Lynn Cobbe, 35, is facing 13 charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, possession of an illegal substance and failing to comply with conditions. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17.
