An 18-year-old man from central Alberta is facing several dangerous driving charges following a crash this past summer that left two teens dead and three others injured.
The single-vehicle collision happened Friday, July 1 east of Red Deer. Blackfalds RCMP said an 18-year-old man from Penhold and a 16-year-old girl from Springbrook were killed when they were thrown from the vehicle.
Two other people from the vehicle were taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital with serious injuries. A fifth person, who was not thrown from the vehicle, was taken to hospital and released a short time later.
