WINNIPEG — A fatal crash on Garven Road near Pineridge Road has claimed the life of a Winnipeg police officer who had recently been charged with drug and weapons related offences.

On Monday, multiple sources confirmed to Global News the victim of the fatal collision involving a gravel truck on the single lane road near Birds Hill was Trent Milan, an 18-year Winnipeg police veteran.
