Crack cocaine, meth seized in Loon Lake, Sask. drug bust

Two people are in custody following a drug bust in Loon Lake, Sask.

The bust happened on Thursday afternoon outside the Loon Lake, Sask., hotel and bar when police said they executed a Criminal Code warrant for a man who was a passenger in a car.

Police said when they searched Shawn Armstrong, who is from St. Walburg, they found marijuana, meth, crack cocaine, a small amount of cash and a cell phone.

Mounties then said they arrested the driver of the car, Becky Mitsuing, who is from the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, for possession of a controlled substance.

Police said a search of the vehicle turned up marijuana, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, psilocybin, cash and a cell phone.

In total, police said they seized 35 grams of marijuana, 16 grams of crack cocaine, 12 grams of psilocybin, two grams of meth and one gram of powder cocaine, along with $195 in cash and two cell phones.

Mounties said alcohol was also located in the back seat of the car.

Armstrong, 43, and Mitsuing, 32, will appear Monday in Meadow Lake provincial court.

Loon Lake is approximately 310 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
