VICTORIA – Former Vancouver city councillor Suzanne Anton will seek the B.C. Liberal Party nomination in the riding of Vancouver-Quilchena, she announced this morning.
“Having spent many years helping make our city a better place, I am excited to be able to focus on representing my own neighbourhood of Vancouver-Quilchena, where I brought up my three children and have lived for the last 21 years,” Anton said in a news release.

The announcement puts Anton up against Andrew Wilkinson, who is also vying for the nomination in Vancouver-Quilchena.
A former president of the B.C. Liberal Party, Wilkinson is a medical doctor, practising lawyer and Rhodes Scholar.
He announced his candidacy earlier this month.
Vancouver-Quilchena is held by Colin Hansen, who has announced he will not run again in 2013.
