One person has been killed and another taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a high speed head-on collision in Toronto’s west end Thursday.
Toronto police responded to a call around 10:45 a.m. after two vehicles collided head-on at St. Clair West and Cobalt Avenue.
Police said one of the vehicles flipped over and was on fire and one of the occupants was trapped in the vehicle. Both drivers were found unconscious at the scene after the crash.

Paramedics said one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another person was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.
The identities, ages and genders of the crash victims have not been released.
