Environment Canada has issued a severe wind warning for Lake Manitoba for the weekend.
Overnight Friday and into Saturday the winds are expected to get as high as 20 to 30 knots or 40 to 50 kilometres per hour. The strong northwest winds could raise water levels by as much as five feet according to the Province of Manitoba’s website.
The province is advising anyone with property in the area to “take precautions.”
