A man died in hospital from injuries he suffered in a St. Albert house fire Thursday morning.
Fire crews were called to a home in the Grandin area at around 6:45 a.m.
Firefighters found the back of the single-storey home engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene.

A man who was inside the home at the time of the blaze was taken to Sturgeon Community Hospital where he died.
St. Albert RCMP said the identity of the victim and the cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s office.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, but police said the death isn’t being treated as suspicious.
RCMP said the home appears to be a total loss.
