Woman seriously injured in bicycle-car collision in downtown Halifax

A young woman is in hospital today with serious injuries after being struck by a car late last night in downtown Halifax.

Police say the 24-year-old cyclist was travelling south on Gottingen Street and went straight through the intersection at Cogswell Street.

She was hit by a vehicle that was turning onto Cogswell.

A news release says the cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II hospital and was being treated for serious injuries from the collision.
