The 33-year-old was involved in the illegal drug trade in Vancouver and the Okanagan and his murder his likely related to his criminal activities.
Fettes’ car was taken from the murder scene and found a day later at Bertram Creek Regional Park on the southern outskirts of Kelowna.
It was a 2006, black Ford 500 which the family says is “very significant to solving the murder” as it may have been abandoned there by whoever killed Fettes.
Fettes had a lengthy criminal record of drug and weapons offenses and police suspected he had links to outlaw motorcycle gangs.
