Police evacuated Lakeshore Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke Friday morning, after the high school received an unspecified threat.
Const. Victor Kwong said the evacuation order had been lifted around 1:30 p.m. ET after a police K9 unit search, and no threat to students was found.
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) said students were temporarily relocated to the Toronto Police College nearby as a precaution.
“Any time we receive any kind of threat against a school we act immediately because the safety and security of our students is our number one priority,” TDSB spokesperson Shari Schwartz-Maltz told reporters on Friday.
