Weymouth North woman’s death ruled a homicide: RCMP

Nova Scotia RCMP have ruled Lynda Anne Comeau’s death a homicide.

Police said they responded to a 911 call shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Sept. 1 about a woman found dead inside a home on Fort Point Road in Weymouth North.

When officers arrived they found the 63-year-old woman dead.

Following an autopsy conducted Friday by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner, the death has officially been ruled a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Southwest Nova RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, the RCMP Police Dog Service and Digby RCMP detachment.
