According to Stuart Brideaux with EMS, the paramedics on scene assessed the boy and requested STARS attend to take him to Calgary. Their concern was the nature of his injuries as well as the distance by ground between the scene and the ACH.

The boy was in serious but otherwise stable and non-life threatening condition.

RCMP are investigating the cause of the crash.
