It’s another sign of the times, BC Ferries passengers will soon be noticing a change on board.
Plans are underway to remove the video arcades.

They were once a big attraction on the ships but now, due to the popularity of smartphones, apps and other gaming devices, people are not using the arcade as much.
That means revenue from the arcades has pretty much become obsolete.
All the game centres on the ships will be removed by 2019.
