Police responded to a report of a flasher in downtown Kelowna early Wednesday morning.

RCMP say a woman had pulled her car over near the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Ethel street at around 1:30 a.m. to use her cell phone.

She reported that a man exposed himself to her as he walked past her car.

The woman was able to provide a detailed description of the man, who fled north on Ethel Street.

An intoxicated man matching that description was quickly located on Fuller Avenue, attempting to hide from police.

A 52-year-old man from the North Thompson area was arrested and held overnight.

He faces potential charges of committing an indecent act.
