The first span on a new bridge in downtown Saskatoon is set to go up.
Starting the week of Sept. 5, crews will begin constructing the south span of the new Traffic Bridge.

It will be constructed with weathering steel, initially giving the bridge a two-tone colour. Over time it will turn into one brown colour tone.
The last remaining span of the old Traffic Bridge is scheduled to be demolished in November.
Its part of the city’s Bridging to Tomorrow project, which includes the North Commuter Parkway and improvements to the intersection at Central Avenue and Attridge Drive.

The widening of the intersection and the realignment of the eastbound off-ramp from Circle Drive is expected to wrap up in November.
If all goes according to plan, both bridges and related infrastructure are slated to be completed in October 2018.
