Two Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornets flew over the Wild Rose Motocross Park Saturday morning as a part of the BMX Canadian National Championships being held in Calgary Saturday.
The jets were flying at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest point of their route, before returning to Cold Lake.
The sound of the jets was so loud that Global News received a number of calls and messages inquiring whether there was some sort of emergency.
The BMX event brought over 700 competitors, including Tory Nyhaug who just returned from the Rio Olympics.
