The Vernon Fire Department and the BC Wildfire Service are responding to a grass fire near the city.
The call came in around 3:20 p.m.
Officials said the fire is about two kilometres north of Predator Ridge golf course.
The BC Wildfire service is calling it a wind driven fire.
It’s grown to about four hectares.
Tankers are dropping retardant around the perimeter of the fire, and one helicopter has
also been sent to the scene.
The fire is burning between rank 2 and rank 3, meaning it is spreading moderately, and some trees are fully involved.
