WINNIPEG — At least four ducks and a crow were found dead in a popular Winnipeg duck pond Friday.
Staff at Assiniboine Park are trying to find out what caused the birds’ death. Vets from the park have now collected the birds.
A necropsy is being done on the birds to find out their cause of death but the results could take weeks.
The algae in the water had been tested two days prior to the discovery of the dead birds and experts are confident it is not the cause of death.
