Final Tragically Hip concert to be shown at Assiniboine Park

WINNIPEG — Winnipeggers who weren’t able to score a ticket to Tragically Hip’s farewell tour aren’t completely out of luck.

The broadcast of the band’s final concert in Kingston, Ont. will be shown live at Assiniboine Park.

On Aug. 20, “The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration” will be screened across the country, including the park. It will be projected on a 27-foot-wide LED screen on the Lyric Stage starting at 7:30 p.m.

The West End Cultural Centre is also screening the Tragically Hip concert with free admission on Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
