A man is recovering this morning after he crashed his car into a hydro pole in Maple Ridge.
Police were called to the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Laity Street just after 11 p.m.

When they arrived they found a 60-year-old man behind the wheel. He was rushed to hospital with minor injuries but has since been released.
Power was knocked out in the area for just over an hour but has since been restored.
Investigators say the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel on his way home.
They say driving when you are tired can have similar symptoms to driving drunk.
