A serious collision near Carberry, Manitoba has left one driver dead.
Carberry RCMP responded to the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 5 at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
A vehicle heading northbound on Highway 5 attempted to cross Highway 1 when it struck a semi, according to an RCMP release Monday afternoon. The vehicle then ignited. The driver was pronounced dead on scene.
The semi driver was not injured in the incident.
The identification of the deceased driver has not been released and the collision is still being investigated.
