A 27-year-old man is dead after the semi-tractor unit he was driving left the road and rolled near Stony Plain Thursday morning.
It happened around 10 a.m. on Highway 16 between Jennifer Heil Road and Secondary Highway 779.

The semi was eastbound. No other vehicles were affected.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The highway was shut down for several hours while police investigated.
There’s no word on a cause.
