Saskatoon police Taser man acting in a threatening manner

A man was Tasered by Saskatoon police after officers were called to a home where a woman was reportedly screaming.

The call came in Tuesday at around noon hour.

Police said the officers who responded to the home in the 200-block of Dickey Crescent were confronted by a man who refused to listen to them.

They said he was also acting in a threatening manner.

A Taser was fired and the man was taken into custody.

The 34-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and has been charged with assault.

Officers located a woman inside the home suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The use of the Taser will be reviewed in accordance with Saskatoon Police Service policy.
