Kelowna RCMP are releasing the name of the man who was murdered early Friday morning in Rutland.
Benjamin Cory Virgint was found dead in his home in the 400 block of Hein road.
Police responded to a report of shots being fired just after 6 a.m.

“The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) continue to probe Virgint’s death, as investigators continue to work closely with the BC Coroners Service” Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a press release. “An autopsy of the deceased’s body is still pending.”

The RCMP believe that the murder was a targeted attack.
Police are hoping that people with information about Virgint or his murder will come forward.
