WINNIPEG — Passengers on Delta Airlines flights have been left frustrated after a computer outage forced delays and cancellations to flights around the world.
Delta said a system wide outage occurred in Atlanta early Monday morning. The outage affected departing flights but not any flights that were in transit.
A total of four Delta Airline flights have been scheduled out of Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport.

A Delta flight scheduled to depart Winnipeg for Minneapolis at 6:30 a.m. was delayed due to outage for close to 30 minutes but was soon able to depart without incident.
Another flight leaving for Minneapolis at 7:40 a.m. was delayed for about 20 minutes.
Delta representatives are recommending passengers call ahead to confirm their flights are on time.
Although Delta has resumed service, the airline warns passengers should still expect delays and cancellations.
