A pub in Queensland, Australia says there are no hard feelings for the man who smashed through the back door while breaking in early Thursday morning.
And to prove it, they’ve released CCTV footage of what they call the “idiot” attempting to break in through the bar’s back door.
“(We watched back the CCTV footage) and sure enough, we had the funniest experience of our life watching this guy trying to get in for a drink.” The bar’s owner, Lou Cerantonio, told the Brisbane Times.
Posted to the Howl At The Moon Pub’s Facebook page, and done up to appear as a mock news report, the video shows a man attempting to break through the back door of the bar by smashing through the glass with a beer keg.
After three attempts he is able to smash a hole big enough to crawl through, which he does, lit cigarette still in his mouth, in painstaking and not entirely graceful fashion – only to discover he had broken the door frame with a previous toss of the beer keg and could have opened the door at any time.

Even stranger, the man leaves after a short while without taking anything, apparently only interested in getting a late night libation.

According to the Queensland Police Service, the man seen in the video turned himself in the next morning when he awoke, covered in cuts and broken glass, and saw his face on the news.
“Apparently he got up this morning and saw himself on the news. I think he was wondering how he got all these scratches and things all over his body, I think he has put two and two together and thought, ‘s—, is that how it happened?’”
Cerantonio has said he will not press charges, and would even welcome the man into the bar for a drink – assuming he came during regular business hours, that is.
