A four-year-old child is dead after a crash just east of Lethbridge Wednesday afternoon.
The collision happened at the intersection of Range Road 21-1 and Township Road 8-4, just north of Highway 4.
Police said a car heading north on Range Road 21-1 failed to stop at the intersection of Brown Road and hit an SUV on Township Road 8-4.

The female driver of the SUV was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital as a precaution. No one else was in the vehicle.
The driver of the car, who is the mother of the four-year old victim, was taken to hospital with another child passenger. Both suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses at the scene performed CPR on the boy until paramedics arrived but he was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
The area remained closed for several hours Wednesday afternoon as police investigated.
